Inspiration's a bitch. Specifically, waiting for inspiration.

Normally I don't like to offend the muses, but this is a truth that needs to be spoken. I'm not sure they would be offended, either...
​
... the muses can be as cruel as they can be kind.
​
And they deserve to be respected accordingly. How many poor, tortured artistic souls have howled at the moon, begging for inspiration to strike?
​
Many, and many more that we've never heard of.
​
There are many ways to court the muses, but the most important is to be taking action while you wait.
​
When you're doing the work, the muses will come check out what you're up to. They'll peek over your shoulder and whisper their genius in your ear.
​
If you're just sitting around, doing nothing....
​
... they will get bored and check in with someone else. Someone who is already in motion.
​
