But what does rest really mean?
What does it mean to rest, when your world is on fire?
I've been on high alert here in the Portland, Oregon, metro area due to a couple of massive wildfires threatening to merge and take over the city. For perspective, officials are preparing for what they are calling a "mass casualty event."
😳
So as I've hunkered down with my bugout bag, choking on hazadous air quality, going a little stir-crazy with my puppy and kitten (thank God they can play with and chase each other!), the past few days haven't felt especially restful.
But what does rest really mean?
It doesn't necessarily mean we spend an increasing amount of time on the couch as the moon wanes, but sometimes it's simply a matter of adjusting your focus to the internal and processing what is happening NOW.
Sometimes it means allowing ambitions to incubate.
It is always a good time to nurture yourself in whatever ways you most need.
Packing my bugout bad and monitoring wildfire alerts doesn't seem restful on the surface, but I could rest easy knowing I had done everything I needed to do.
My energy is positive and my heart open to the new beginnings on the way.

The Waning Crescent is a time for rest. Take a few moments to restore positive energy. Nurture yourself. Your work is done now and you can move into the New Moon with an open heart.
Manifestation Prompt: reflect on how far you have come. Write about all the ways you have given and received over the past moons.
Remember, you are magic ✨
