Desire, the silent scream

Have you ever had that dream, where you open your mouth to scream, but no sound comes out?

The frustration of being unable to express powerful emotions is a nightmare...

And a perfect parallel to ignoring your dreams

We all have creative urges, deep desires spinning through the depths of our psyche, stirring up ideas and emotions and experiences we need to express

And these powerful urges are a source of incredible energy and inspiration IF we listen, and act... if we heed their call and allow ourself to explore where they take us

They are like thunderbolts striking us from the hands of our muses

How long has it been since you've felt this urge?

Since your muses pointed right at you, and hit you with a bolt of inspiration?

With deep sadness many of us have learned to ignore the call, numb ourselves to the very energies we need to create, and to live a full and vital life

We become depressed, stuck, sad. We start to settle, give up on our dreams. The desire within may try to scream a warning... but is silenced.

NO MORE!

I know how it feels, when it gets to this point. It often feels hard, but the way out doesn't have to be…

…the way out is a path of nurturing.

To nurture the wounded artist within you, to learn once again to live and create in a way that is most natural, but foreign to the state of stuckness that took over when you stopped listening to your desires.

What can you do today to nurture your creativity?

If you're not sure, I suggest simply listening... it may seem, at first, that there's nothing there, but listen even still...

Create that space within and your desires will begin to emerge.

It is enough, at first, to simply listen.

In this way you are honoring your desires, and beginning to nurture your creativity.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and listen
